The Making of The Ascent Hoodie
Share
Luxury is often judged by what can be seen.
Construction is judged by what cannot.
The Ascent Hoodie was never intended to be another oversized hoodie.
From the earliest sketches, our objective was to create a garment capable of standing alongside products that are designed to be owned for years rather than seasons.
Development began in Montreal, where patterns, proportions, and construction details were refined before production moved to our manufacturing partner in Portugal.
Every stage of development required careful iteration.
Pattern engineering.
Fabric selection.
Embroidery placement.
Construction sequencing.
Quality testing.
Packaging.
Authentication.
Rather than treating digital authentication as an afterthought, ownership was considered from the beginning of the design process.
Every finished garment will include an embedded NFC authentication chip linked to the Rising Atelier Registry.
Owners will be able to verify authenticity, access a Digital Birth Certificate, and maintain a permanent ownership record through the Registry.
A hidden UV covenant is also applied during finishing.
Visible only under ultraviolet light, it serves as a quiet reminder shared exclusively between the garment and its owner.
The inscription reads:
PERMANENCE REQUIRES PRESSURE.
Only 221 garments will be produced in this inaugural release.
Each piece will be individually identified and permanently recorded within the Rising Atelier Registry.
Development continues.
Every refinement brings us closer to launch.
Because true craftsmanship is rarely the result of a single decision.
It is the accumulation of hundreds of careful ones.
